Job Summary: As a Software Engineer II, you will help our team build our linear advertising platform. On a daily basis you should bring: • A willingness and desire to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams and systems • A sense of ownership of the projects delivered by your team and department • A passion for mentoring, learning, and adapting to a very dynamic and fast-paced environment • An understanding of how to define technical and operational metrics to measure system health and manage risk • A keen eye for potential optimizations and enhancements to our services • Kindness and pragmatic optimism • Your unique view and experience Responsibilities: • Actively participate in daily stand-ups and other scrum ceremonies • Collaborate with team members to design new solutions and drive alignment across partner teams • Participate in the breakdown and estimation of tasks • Communicate with team members on progress • Write code to implement new features or optimize existing services • Test code through various means: unit tests, integration tests, performance tests, etc. • Participate in an on-call rotation and production support • Follow industrial best practices for service operations regarding CI/CD, monitoring, and incident investigation • Perform code reviews for members of the team Basic Qualifications: • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant work experience • 3+ years of software engineering experience • Proficiency with Java and ORMs • Experience with ReactJS or similar frontend frameworks, with the ability to quickly pick up new technologies • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Spring Boot and related Spring projects • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS • Experience with modern DevOps tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes • Experience with data streaming mechanisms such as Apache Kafka, Kinesis, and/or SNS/SQS Job Posting Segment: Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology Job Posting Primary Business: Ad Platforms Primary Job Posting Category: Software Engineer Employment Type: Full time Primary City, State, Region, Postal Code: Bangalore, India Alternate City, State, Region, Postal Code: Date Posted: 2026-06-24
