Department: Medicine-Gastroenterology - 411420 Position Summary: The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the UNC School of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterologist with expertise in subspecialty gastroenterology. This position is being recruited as open rank on the fixed-term track, with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Our division offers a wide range of subspecialty focuses, including inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disease, motility disorders, and advanced endoscopy. The successful candidate will perform endoscopic procedures, provide care in outpatient clinics (in Chapel Hill and outreach clinics), provide inpatient consults and actively participate in the training of GI fellows, residents, and medical students. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: MD degree, Board certified/Board eligible in Gastroenterology. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Proficiency in gastroenterology and endoscopy with an interest in clinical education and/or research.
